Board certified lactation specialists have expert knowledge about human milk production, infant/maternal anatomy, breastfeeding and can troubleshoot complications that arise during lactation, pumping and breastfeeding.
Medical doctors that are trained to track infant growth and development and manage childhood illnesses. They also provide referrals when infant feeding is difficult.
An ENT is a specialized medical doctor that focuses on the ear, nose and throat. Dentists are doctors that focus on the teeth and mouth. Some ENTs and Dentists are trained to identify and release oral restrictions such as lip and tongue tie.
A Chiropractor is a specialist that has gone to school to learn how to adjust and align the muscles and bones, especially the spine. Some chiropractors can help babies to be more successful with feedings and resolve birth trauma that might be impacting feedings.

They understand muscle tension/adhesion and how to release it so that a baby can have improved symptoms and feeding.
Speech Therapists specialize in infant suck and swallow, oral anatomy and therapies for improving feeding.
